Ideal for Jewish Educators and Rabbincal Students Who Have a Passion for Camp
Jewish Life and Learning Leader closely collaborates with each camps’ song leader, head of dance, and our Israeli staff to coordinate a variety of Judaica programs including Shabbat services, music for services, Israel programming, and Bat Mitzvah listening. In addition, this position includes responsibilities such as pre-camp planning, coordination of our Jewish cultural program, preparation and facilitation of discussion sessions on Jewish culture, values and, Israel, preparation, and execution of Shabbat services including Friday night, Saturday morning, and Havdalah. Our camps welcome Jewish staff and campers from a broad spectrum of Jewish practices and observances. The Cohen Camps are all about embracing relationships and building community, spreading spirit throughout camp, and making differences in our campers’ lives.
3 years + Judaica/Hebrew school educator/instructor, strong Hebrew reading and speaking skills (conversational skills not required), Supervise and evaluate culture staff members, Experience working with children and adults in residential camp setting.
