Community service "Repair the world: Tikkun Olam" Director

BHEC is looking for a creative, dynamic educator who understands the value and power of overnight camp and can help facilitate the thriving Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) Program at Berkshire Hills in Copake, NY. The Tikkun Olam Specialist touches many aspects of the camp and creates and implements age appropriate community service projects each Saturday Morning for the camp community. The Tikkun Olam Specialist will design weekly service projects for each unit to do on Saturday mornings around a theme deeply rooted in our camp's values. The Tikkun Olam Specialist will also lead Friday Night song session before and after Shabbat Dinner and Saturday Night song session for Havdalah at the lake.

Qualities and Experience include:
Background with community service
Experience with Jewish overnight camps
Ability to work effectively with campers, counselors, and senior staff in a leadership role
Capable of and interested in working in a non-denominational setting
Knowledgeable and skilled in experiential education

Duration full-time , contract
