KIRS (Kehillath Israel Religious School) is taking a new and innovative approach to Jewish learning. Our school runs Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 pm. For the 2020-2021 school year, Mondays for grades 2-5 will be entirely dedicated to experiential learning (think religious school meets Magic School Bus!) Our goal with this initiative is to help our students form a soulful and personal connection beyond what they may be able to develop through traditional classroom learning.
KIRS is seeking unique individuals of all stripes who have passions and skills that they can impart to students in (1 or 2 consecutive) two-hour sessions on Mondays throughout the year. Are you able and excited to lead Jewish themed activities in arts, drama, cooking, music, dance, gardening, krav maga, community service or any other subject that would captivate Jewish youth? If so, I’d love to hear from you!
For more details, email KIRS Director, Eric Greene, at [email protected] All applicants must be able to pass a CORI. Payment competitive and commensurate with experience. Successful leaders will have additional opportunities to teach on Mondays throughout the year!
