Preschool and Toddler Lead Teachers/Teachers
Temple Emanuel Preschool (TEP) in Newton is seeking EEC - certified Toddler and Preschool Lead Teachers/Teachers to join our dedicated team of educators. We are a warm and loving preschool community serving children 15 months - 5 years old.
Hours of Operation: Morning Program 9 am – 1 pm
Early Drop Off 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Extended Day 1:00 pm – 3:30
Within the school day, we have full time and part-time schedules available. Your schedule would include, setup/cleanup time, staff meetings, parent communication and planning time. We are open September through June and we may have the option for additional summer hours. The positions would begin in August 2020 with staff orientation. TEP is closed on Federal and Jewish holidays. We offer competitive salaries based on experience, level of certification and schedule.
Qualifications needed to teach effectively include knowledge of child development, best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage children and earn their trust.
Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Document and track children’s progress
Parent communication and conducting Parent-Teacher conferences
Collaborate with other educators
Maintain a clean classroom consistent with enhanced health and safety standards
Proven experience as a Preschool or Toddler Teacher
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
Even-tempered, friendly and reliable
Child CPR and First Aid. (Training will be provided.)
Possess EEC license. Completion of EEC StrongStart program
