MetroWest Jewish Day School is a pre-K to grade 8 community Jewish day school that celebrates pluralism and diversity. MWJDS fosters the personal growth of each child through a multi-faceted, individualized, and dynamic 21st-century approach to learning. Our student community actively engages in the comprehensive exploration of both secular and Jewish curricula. MWJDS inspires our students to become contributing members of our global world as knowledgeable and responsible members of the diverse Jewish community.
We offer small classes and emphasize inquiry-based instruction. This is a collaborative based model requiring warmth, flexibility, and a willingness to work in concert with the rest of the faculty. We are a collaborative community of learners.
MWJDS is seeking applicants for either a full-time or part-time Hebrew/Judaic Studies Teacher. This new teacher will join a professional team of colleagues who are committed to Hebrew, Jewish, and Israel education. This position is for the 2020-21 school year, starting August 2020.

Provide maximum learning opportunities for students in accordance with program objectives and each student‘s abilities, interests, and needs. Instruct students in accordance with the MWJDS philosophy of education, policies, and curriculum. Employ a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and instructional media, consistent with the abilities of the students and the objectives of the course. Set a positive example for students and the community by demonstrating respect and concern for students and an awareness of community values.
Fluent in Hebrew REQUIRED; native Hebrew speaker PREFERRED
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience
Salary: Commensurate with experience
