Temple Beit HaYam, a dynamic, well-established and innovative Reform congregation in Stuart, Florida, seeks an experienced, warm and visionary Director for our Early Childhood Education Center. Our center, fourteen years old, with six classrooms, provides a loving and nurturing environment for 110 children, ages 12 months through four years (VPK). The ideal candidate will be an experienced, caring and nurturing professional who demonstrates excellent management and interpersonal skills, is passionate about early childhood education, Jewish heritage/education and is able to promote and support a warm, safe and intellectually stimulating educational environment. The candidate should be able to interact well with lay leadership and clergy and should be able to inspire and excite parents, students and teachers to reach new heights of learning.
An ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor/Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education or a related field; Three or more years of teaching/supervisory experience; Have or obtain State of Florida Director’s Credentials with VPK Endorsement; Familiarity with Brightwheels and Freshbooks management software (or capability to learn); mastery of computer skills including MS Office and various social media platforms.
The candidate should be adept at working with and developing positive relationships with children and families, be adept at developing strong relationships with regional Jewish Education resources, be able to build and support a vibrant, energized team of professional teachers, be able to integrate the center into the Temple community and to be able to positively interact with state licensing agencies. Strong management and financial skills are necessary. Ability to partner with the ECLC board and it’s chair in managing the operation of our wonderful center is mandatory.
