About Preschool of the Arts
NYC Preschool of the Arts (POTA) is a premier, arts-based, Reggio inspired preschool that enacts an emergent, play-based curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia. Our program integrates a Jewish curriculum with an emphasis on values and tradition.
Our educators are an integral part of our highly professional teaching team, beautiful environment and wonderful community. We offer mentorship and growth opportunities within our school.
We seek qualified and talented individuals to join our team of educators for the 2020-2021 school year. We have both year-round and 10 month programs serving children 3 months to 5 years old. Our infant and toddler centers and preschools are devoted to respectful care and the magic of early learning, inspired by the Reggio Emilia and RIE approaches.
Qualified candidates for various positions from management to teaching, will be responsible for providing our children with a safe, loving environment imbued with POTA’s vision for providing our families excellence in early childhood education and maintaining the character and integrity of a POTA classrooms and schools. POTA provides an environment that cultivates curiosity and learning in our faculty as well as our children. We believe in a team teaching model and enjoy weekly professional development.

Required for lead teachers/Directors: Demonstrated experience teaching and/or developing curriculum and educational materials
Required for lead teachers/Directors: Demonstrated experience as an educator in a preschool or child care center, or other commensurate experience
Required for lead teachers/Directors: Valid Early Childhood Teaching Certification Birth-2nd grade in NYS, or equivalent, as required by N.Y.C.
Preferred for lead teachers/Directors: Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
Preferred: Knowledge of Jewish customs and culture.
