Temple Beth Tikvah (TBT) is a Reform congregation of over 220 families in Fullerton, California and we are conducting a search for a Programming and Communication Assistant. This is a new position and opportunity for a skilled communicator. Position Description
The Programming & Communication Assistant will perform a variety of duties. This important and key position reports to the Senior Rabbi and the Executive Director. This is a full time position which will include some weekend hours at various times, as needed.

Front office presence and the ability to possess a welcoming demeanor at all times exhibiting “audacious hospitality”. Excellent organization skills. Able to take the initiative and follow through on assigned responsibilities with minimal direction and support. Should possess a flexible attitude with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. A positive attitude and a willingness to back up coworkers, as needed.

Strong interpersonal skills and must be able to establish and maintain good rapport with various temple employees, lay leaders, temple members and visitors.

Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and the Jewish community is desirable.

Education, Training and Experience
Required-High School Diploma or GED
Preferred-Two years of college or BA/BS

Skills or Other Qualifications
Required-Microsoft Office proficiency

Job Duties/Essential Functions:
Answering all incoming phone calls
Ability to understand and execute programs
Scheduling and programming
Processing RSVPs
Answering questions by phone, in writing and in person
Vetting those who have a need to enter the building

Mastering ShulCloud software in addition to intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
Correspondence, email and letters
Creating the weekly Shabbat leaflet
Any other duties as assigned
