Position Summary:
Provide overall administrative support to fundraisers and/or manager

Responsibilities:
•Answer and screen phone calls and respond as appropriate
•Type general correspondence, memos, reports, and invitations utilizing software programs available
•Review with Marketing and Communications the content of invitations, posters, and forms following timelines provided by Marketing and Communications
•Calendar events and meetings in Outlook
•Maintain database for events
•Manage lists for synagogues, committees, and/or Business and Professions
•Process money, including major gifts and securities, using fundraising system FR101
•Manage and update data on FR101 as it applies to position, extract reports, and maintain committee and agency information
•Track attendance and monies for synagogue and/or major events, including invoices, event charges (couvert), raffles, etc.
•Confirm attendance and prepare materials for committee meetings. Including but not limited to order food, make coffee, set up and clean up for in-house meetings
•Organize mailings: stuffing and posting
•Share reception responsibilities when receptionist is out of the office
•Serve as liaison between donors and development staff
•Serve as liaison between donors and Operations, Production and Reporting (OPR) at 59th Street office
•Work overtime at your team’s events: take attendance, distribute literature, help setting up for the event, and collect event charges (couvert) and contributions.

Skills:
•Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, Publisher, and with the Internet
•Proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and math, and with office equipment
•Ability to type at least 50 wpm
•Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
•Have a proactive approach to work
•Maintain an effective filing system for hard copies and on computer
•Flexibility and the ability to prioritize work and multitask
•Time management/meet deadlines
•Problem solving
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Thorough knowledge of the UJA-Federation Fundraising System (FR101) and ability to use the applications it offers
