The Preschool at Mishkon is seeking early childhood professionals to join our team. We are a well-established, thriving preschool that serves children 18 months to 5 years of age.
We prefer experienced teachers with the knowledge and ability to apply the values and intentional teaching practices related to child development, learning theories, constructivism, the Reggio approach, emergent curriculum investigations, and documentation. We are a play and inquiry based ECC offering rich learning experiences rooted in Jewish values. Our warm and caring school provides a well-rounded Judaic and secular curriculum in a facility that supports learning and growth.
Work as part of a team (collaborative and flexible), develop and implement fun, creative age appropriate curriculum ideas (both secular and Judaic), have knowledge of Jewish holidays, traditions and Shabbat, work professionally and cooperatively with families and other early childhood professionals, remain an integral part of our early childhood staff for years to come.
12 units ECE and 6 months experience in a licensed childcare center or 6 units ECE and currently enrolled in additional ECE courses.
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field.
Strong knowledge of Jewish culture and the Hebrew language.
$15-$20 per hour depending on experience
8 am—1 pm
September – June (possible summer camp employment, if desired - separate contract).
