Teachers (Judaic & Hebrew) and Youth Advisor

Temple Beth David in Westwood is seeking teachers to join our vibrant (and growing!) Shorashim Religious School for the 2024-2025 school year.  We are a welcoming Reform congregation in greater Boston, looking for caring and creative teachers to be part of our innovative education team. 

Beth David is looking for K-6 Judaic teachers on Sunday mornings; Hebrew teachers for 3rd-6th grade small-group classes on Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons; and especially elective teachers for teens on Wednesday evenings. Our students are excited to learn with you!  

Applicants should enjoy engaging and inspiring children, have experience working in a Jewish setting, and general knowledge of Jewish customs and holidays, prayers and Hebrew.  We are also seeking teachers who have experience supporting students with diverse learning styles and special learning needs.  You will have the opportunity for mentoring, support, and guidance.  We look forward to welcoming you to our community!  Compensation is commensurate with experience.  

We are also searching for a part time (~5 hours per week) youth advisor to join our team. The main priorities of this position would be to guide and mentor teen leaders in visioning, planning, and executing events for other teens.
