Position overview:

Jewish National Fund-USA seeks a Marketing Strategist-Family Leave Coverage to develop plans that will best market and recruit for our small to mid-size events across the country. The ideal candidate for this role must think strategically and creatively, be well organized with acute attention to detail, able to juggle many projects at once, and great working with people.

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Understand the goals of each event and how to meet them
  • Use available marketing guidelines and collateral while understating when to pivot
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Be a team player with a "customer service" mentality and ability to work with many people and personalities
  • Strike a balance between flexibility and firmness
  • Think out-of-the-box

 

This is position will report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with other members of the Marketing Department as well as fundraisers and event staff across the country.

 

This is a temporary position and will work out of Jewish National Fund-USA New York City office.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Meeting with fundraising and events teams to understand the goals of each event and determine how best to reach them
  • Developing a recruitment strategy to market the event to the appropriate constituencies
  • Day to day execution of tasks to ensure on time and effective delivery of event marketing collateral
  • Communicating the plan to the relevant stakeholders
  • Providing briefs to marketing copywriter and marketing associate
  • Establishing and managing timelines for all marketing materials
  • Effectively delegate tasks to marketing associates
  • Reviewing and signing off on all relevant event marketing materials

 

Collateral will include but not be limited to: invitations, flyers, postcards, emails, digital presentations, signage, landing and registration pages, ads, event videos, tribute journals, event PowerPoint presentation. You will also manage any other marketing tasks as needed and perform any other duties that your supervisor assigns to you.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strategic, out-of-the-box thinking a must
  • Be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task in an exceptionally busy environment
  • Pro-active and energetic; ability to work on own with minimal daily supervision
  • A do-whatever-it-takes attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • 5+ years marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree

 

Compensation:

Pro-rated salary of $70,000-75,000

 

Pay Type:

Salaried

 

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
