Temple Reyim is a warm, vibrant and inclusive spiritual community affiliated with the Conservative movement. We have about 200 membership households across four generations. We are at an exciting moment in the life of the congregation, as we continue to grow our partnership with Hebrew College and the many organizations on our new Jewish campus.

We are seeking an Operations Manager who is responsible for synagogue administration, internal and external communications, facilities coordination, and program and event management. This full-time position will support and work closely with our rabbi, staff, lay leadership and community members, and collaborate with our campus partners. The core responsibilities include:

Office Administration

  • Maintain regular office hours M-Th and Friday morning (primarily in-person)
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Rabbi, staff and lay leadership
  • Manage calendars in coordination with campus partners
  • Oversee communications with community members including all mailings, billing, yahrzeit letters, program announcements and weekly e-newsletter
  • Manage and expand our Easyshul synagogue membership management system
  • Process checks and donations
  • Oversee inventory of office and shul supplies and equipment

Program, Events and Building Management

  • Build warm and supportive relationships with community members
  • Serve as point person for our members and ensure a seamless experience for all community programs, Shabbat and holiday services, b’nei mitzvah, lifecycle events, and internal space rentals
  • Collaborate with Hebrew College regarding technology, staffing, security, vendor contracts, food, servers, maintenance, set-up and clean-up for Reyim community events
  • Work with campus partners on space utilization and building operations needs

Business Operations

  • Work with bookkeeper to ensure timely payroll processing, financial record keeping, and payment of invoices
  • Oversee check processing, online payments and reimbursements

Who You Are and What You’ll Bring

  • A BA/BS degree or relevant professional experience
  • Experience in organizational operations, office management and administrative support
  • Understanding of the Jewish community and the Jewish calendar 
  • Familiarity with common office tools and platforms such as the Google suite, WordPress website content management, and ideally QuickBooks
  • Enjoy collaborating and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Understand how to develop systems, organize documents, and create workflows

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. This role reports to the President and Rabbi.
