Hadar seeks a Director of Marketing to grow our audience across all programs and content while increasing brand awareness nationally. This is a full-time position based in NYC, reporting to the Senior Director of Communications.
Hadar is at a significant moment of growth and expansion. We seek a highly motivated, creative, and results-oriented marketing professional to play a key role in Hadar’s work engaging and growing audiences nationally. This position will take the lead in crafting and executing creative strategies to broaden Hadar’s networks, increase participation in programs, grow content distribution, and advance Hadar’s mission. The ideal candidate is self-driven, flexible, creative, results-oriented, loves data analysis, and has a sense of humor.

Responsibilities
Strategy and Campaign Development
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow Hadar’s email audience, book and holiday reader distribution, and podcast listenership
- Manage organizational marketing budget, spending strategically in new and creative ways
- In close collaboration with the Digital Communications Manager and Digital Media Associate, analyze digital data and measure success of marketing interventions
Digital Marketing
- Create, manage, and monitor ad campaigns on Meta Business Manager, Google/YouTube Ads, and other platforms
- Oversee and improve SEO performance on hadar.org and projectzug.org
- Monitor and create new strategies for website traffic using Google Analytics, optimizing the user experience
- Build a robust set of marketing segments and automations in Salesforce/Account Engagement
- Write compelling and engaging copy for email and social media campaigns
Program Marketing and Recruitment
- In close collaboration with the programs team, produce print marketing materials, including signage, postcards, brochures, giveaways, and merchandise
- Advise and consult with recruitment manager on program recruitment strategies and tactics
- Design and manage new online merchandise store, thinking creatively about how to grow sales
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting, with a proven record of results
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and best practices in SEO, Meta Business Manager, and Google Ads, with experience creating ad campaigns with strong creative and brand sensibility
- Experience with CRM and email marketing software (Salesforce and Pardot/Account Engagement a plus)
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Experience with graphic design or working with designers to produce excellent results
- Familiarity with the Jewish communal landscape, Jewish text learning, or Hebrew language a plus

Salary
Minimum starting salary of $90,000. Senior candidates are invited to apply.
