Hebrew Instructor- Responsibilities

As a passionate and dedicated Hebrew instructor at Lashon Academy, you’ll plan and deliver engaging lesson plans, lead group instruction, and develop Hebrew resources for elementary and middle school students. Your primary role will be teaching Hebrew to students. You’ll work under the guidance of certificated teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Hebrew, connect well with students, and be passionate about language instruction. You’ll collaborate with staff, attend professional development opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the school community. Hebrew Instructor- Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • Fluent in both English and Hebrew- both written and verbal (Required)
  • At least 1-year professional experience working with children in a school, camp, or tutoring setting (Required)
  • 1 year of teaching children the Hebrew language (Strongly Preferred)
  • Classroom management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills

Schedule: M-F 7:30 PM-4:15 PM (4:30 PM on select days), some evening events

Position: Full Time

Number of Hours: 40 hours a week

Working Days: 200 days a year

Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 annually

Location: 7477 Kester Avenue. Van Nuys, CA 91405
