Who We Are:
The Orthodox Union (OU) is one of the largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol, ?, is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.
 
Position Summary:
We are seeking a collections representative to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for following up with customers on payment of outstanding debt and respond to customers' financial queries. This role requires strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain records of collection attempts. 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contact customers via phone and email to collect overdue balances.
  • Work closely with internal teams (account managers and finance) to address customer queries and resolve billing disputes.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements.
  • Document collection efforts and customer communications.
 
Qualification Requirements:
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work with a team and external customers
  • Microsoft Suite experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in collections
 
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000, commensurate on expereince.
