Director of Corporate Partnerships and Donor Development
Position Overview:
The Director of Corporate Partnerships and Donor Development is responsible for managing The Associated’s Corporate Philanthropy Program, which includes the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate partners. In addition, this person will take on other projects related to Matching Gifts and donor engagement through the corporate community. The Director will work with current sponsors, as well as generate new relationships throughout the Baltimore business community. This position will lead and create marketing and promotional material and other opportunities to attract sponsors, as well as position sponsors in visible ways throughout the Associated network to promote maximum impact for the sponsors. The Director will play a key role within the overall Development team and work collaboratively with professionals who run the Business Affinities. They will also engage and work closely with Associated leadership to leverage relationships across Baltimore area businesses.
The ideal candidate has worked with volunteers, has an understanding and familiarity of the organized Jewish community, and is hard working, detail orientated and enthusiastic. High energy, poise and positivity are crucial to the success of this position. The candidate must be flexible, have excellent communication skills and be eager and open to learning.
Essential Job Functions:
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create new and implement existing strategies to reach the organization's Corporate Sponsorship revenue goals
- Identify, solicit, and steward Corporate Sponsors: Draft, pitch and activate custom agreements for C-Suite Executives
- Work in close collaboration with Lay Leaders and Solicitors for thought partnership around prospecting, and to connect the dots between Lay Leaders and Sponsors around opportunities to work together while deepening their relationship to The Associated.
- Play a strategic role in individual donor acquisition as assigned by Sr. VP of Development
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree required
- Three to five years non-profit work-related experience.
- Knowledge of the Jewish community.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Detailed oriented and work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $89,000-$102,000; commensurate with experience.
