A bustling Brooklyn-Based Older Adult Center is seeking a Center Director to oversee all aspects of Center operations.

Our Center helps seniors stay both mentally and physically active through socialization, education and healthy living. In addition to creative activities where seniors can engage in music, art or dance, members have the opportunity to learn about and use technology, partake in group recreation trips or attend exercise classes. We also provide case assistance, helping seniors gain access to needed services, benefits and entitlements they may otherwise be unable to obtain.


The Center Director will be responsible for:
• Maintaining a program that meets the nutritional, emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs of individuals as well as the group.
• Ensuring program is in full compliance with contractually required service levels, procedures, reporting requirements and performance standards.
• Ensuring compliant health and safety policies and practices for the Center.
• Overseeing outreach and PR for the Center.
• Supervising Center staff, volunteers and interns.
• Overseeing Food Service Management, as well as, the Home Delivered Meals Program based out of the Center.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, or Human Services preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in social service or human services field required, preferably with older adults.
• Minimum one year supervisory or administrative experience in the social services or human services field, preferably with older adults, required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven managerial skills.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Computer literacy a must.

Annual Salary - $83,000
Full-time, On-Site Position
