THE JOB:
We are seeking a Program Manager to support VBM in our Scottsdale office. This position would be responsible for leading and assisting with in-person and virtual events and lectures. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- planning volunteer events for people of all ages in the Greater Phoenix area that are inspired by Jewish values.
- supporting VBM’s social action initiative, Arizona Jews for Justice, and its humanitarian relief efforts.
- facilitate AJJ’s social action fellowship for young adults or teens by mentoring fellows and coordinating group learning
- support VBM’s educational programming by attending virtual classes and provide support for in-person lectures and events
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- has a passion for Jewish learning
- cares deeply about social justice
- is comfortable with public speaking and enjoys meeting new people and being in social environments
- has at least 2 years of experience in the areas of program facilitation, volunteer management, community building or mentorship
- must be located in the Greater Phoenix area
- background check required
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- college degree or equivalent years of work experience
- proficient use of Google Suite, social media, Zoom and Canva
- organized self-starter who is able to work independently
- open to flexible work hours (some evenings and Sundays required)
THE POSITION:
- 40 hours per week
- $40,000 - $45,000 annually
