Position Overview: Uri L'Tzedek (ULT) is an Orthodox social justice non-profit organization guided by Torah values and dedicated to combating suffering and oppression. Through community-based education, leadership development, and action, ULT creates discourse, inspires leaders, and empowers the Jewish community to create a more just world.
We are seeking an Operations and Programs Specialist to join our growing team. This role is primarily focused on back-end operations but also requires the ability to lead front-end activities such as fellowships and classes. The ideal candidate will be an organized problem-solver enthusiastic about social justice as guided by Torah ethics, with the ability to juggle administrative and programmatic responsibilities. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates based in New York City, Washington, D.C., or Phoenix, though candidates from anywhere in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.

Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 annually, based on experience.

Responsibilities:
Administrative and Back-End Tasks:

Send donor thank-you letters and manage donation tracking.

Oversee social media management, including creating and scheduling posts.

Draft and send bi-weekly newsletters.

Manage ULT’s website, including updates and content uploads.

Record ULT programs and upload recordings to platforms like YouTube, podcasts, and the ULT website.

Create promotional graphics using Canva for upcoming events.

Handle event marketing and logistics.

Maintain relationships with Jewish social justice partners.

Support grant writing and grant-related tasks.

Arrange interviews and assist with hiring processes.
Programmatic and Front-End Responsibilities:

Lead fellowships and manage class programming.

Assist in developing fellowship curricula.

Recruit for fellowships and other programs.

Reach out to potential speakers and interviewees.

Promote ULT’s programs through various forums and outreach efforts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree.

Proven organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving skills, especially with technology and online platforms.

Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.

Familiarity with Orthodox culture and Torah study.

Preferred: 1-2 years of non-profit work experience.

Preferred: 2+ years of social justice engagement.

Experience with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, and website management platforms.
