West Coast Program Director for the Jewish Agency – North America

The above position holder is responsible for implementing the Jewish Agency's programs in the region

(Mission, partnerships, experiences in Israel, etc.) in accordance with the work plan to be formulated by the Regional Representative and the Chief Program Officer (CPO)

 

Job description

  1. Responsibility for implementing the Jewish Agency's programs in the relevant area, in terms of content and logistics.
  2. Accompanying and training staff engaged in the implementation of the Jewish Agency's programs (emissaries, HUB Directors, and local coordinators) in the region.
  3. Managing and nurturing ongoing working relationships with the relevant partners and customers, in order to develop and operate the programs at various stages.
  4. Member of the planning, formulation and implementation team of the annual work plan of the field of plans for the area.
  5. Identification and development of new partnerships and clients for the Jewish Agency in the region, in collaboration and under the direction of the Regional Director.
  6. Development and fundraising, while securing donations and commitments for the Jewish Agency, from existing and new organizations.
  7. Meeting goals as defined by the organization's management, CPO and regional Director for the West Coast.
  8. The position is subordinate to two matrix headquarters elements: to the Regional Director on an ongoing basis with subordination and professional guidance of the CPO, and in coordination with the content bodies in Israel with respect to the various programs.

 

Job requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree - mandatory.
  2. Proven experience in administrative/logistical management in the educational field including, team management – a must.
  3. Experience working in a content field in which the Jewish Agency deals – a must.
  4. Experience working with Jewish communities in the Diaspora, with an emphasis on North America – mandatory.
  5. Shlichut Experience, or experience with the Israeli Community – a must
  6. Experience in facilitating groups and standing in front of an audience of youth and young adults, including frontal instruction.
  7. Familiarity with the world of youth movements and the Jewish-Zionist education system, informal in the Diaspora.
  8. Experience in writing educational materials.
  9. Fluent Hebrew and English – mandatory.
  10. Personal qualities: ability to have a deep understanding of educational concepts, ability to work in a team, ability to lead a team, organization and order, differentiation between main and treated.
  11. The job requires multiple trips to communities and meetings with emissaries and teams.

 

 

Salary67,000.00 - 80,000.00 Annual
