Rabbi/Spiritual Leader (PT)

Congrgation Children of Israel in Augusta, Georgia is accepting resumes for a part-time Rabbi (or Spiritual Leader with equivalent knowledge). We desire someone who is a strong, inspiring, dynamic spiritual leader, devoted to the tenets of Reform Judaism. Duties to include leading Friday Shabbat Services and Saturday morning Torah Study, life-cycle events, preparation for B'nai Mitzvah, High Holiday Services, and Passover Seder.  Congregation Children of Israel has been a continually active congregation since 1846.  The congregation joined as the fourth member of The Union of American Hebrew Congregations (UAHC), now the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ).  

Our historic congregation (178+years) is diverse as it relates to age, tradition, and family structure.  The Augusta area also called the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) has a large population due to personnel coming and going at Ft. Eisenhower (formally Ft. Gordon), The Augusta University campuses, Central Savannah River Site (Nuclear Plant), Plant Vogel, and the medical complexes located here.
