Position Summary:

As a Non-Profit Fundraising Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the fundraising efforts of our organization. You will work closely with the Development Team to execute fundraising special events and campaigns, engage with donors, and contribute to the overall success of our fundraising initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the mission of our agency.

Role and Responsibilities

This person’s job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Special Events and Campaign Support:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising special events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate logistics for events including registration, silent auction, and vendor boutique.
  • Help create fundraising assets such as emails, social media posts, and event materials.

Donor Engagement:

  • Support donor stewardship efforts by assisting with donor communications, acknowledgments, and recognition.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in the database, ensuring information is up-to-date and properly documented.
  • Respond to donor inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Development Team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing documents and event materials.
  • Assist with data entry, event management, and other organizational tasks as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of fundraising reports and analysis.
  • Any other reasonable request made by supervisor.

Physical requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3 plus years in event/fund raising experience     
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit environment a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Donor Perfect)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to drive both during the day and at night
  • Required to be flexible in work schedule, evenings and weekends availability a must
