The Jewish Federation of San Diego County (JFSD) is seeking a strategic, dynamic, and experienced Senior Director of Annual Campaign.

Position Overview
The Senior Director of Annual Campaign is a key leadership role responsible for the oversight and execution of the Jewish Federation’s annual fundraising campaign. This individual will implement innovative approaches to increase donor engagement, maximize contributions, and ensure the financial sustainability of the Federation’s initiatives, while overseeing the campaign operations staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall development strategy and annual campaign goals, establishing metrics to track progress and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the campaign.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the annual campaign operations team, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing performance and professional growth.
- Oversee all aspects of the community campaign, including direct mail, and digital fundraising strategies.
- Leverage donor data and fundraising analytics to drive strategic decisions, regularly analyzing donor trends, giving patterns, and retention rates to identify growth opportunities and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Manage campaign performance reports and collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of campaign revenue.
- Collaborate with marketing, events and programmatic teams to align fundraising efforts with the Federation’s priorities, creating compelling donor-centric communications and events.
- Lead and manage the transition to a new donor database, ensuring accurate data migration and optimizing the system for tracking donor engagement and campaign performance, while providing training and support to staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in development operations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovate, and lead complex projects from conception to completion.
- Familiarity with Jewish communal life and Federation mission is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in donor management software (CRM), data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position, working onsite in San Diego, CA, with the ability to work from home on most Fridays.
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 – $120,000 annually, along with a generous benefits package, retirement plan, and comprehensive paid leave, including vacation, sick leave, and 22 paid holidays per year.
