Substitute Teacher - Preschool through 8th Grade

Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm, inclusive Jewish day school that educates children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade with a vigorous dual curriculum in general and Judaic studies. We inspire our students to be engaged, independent learners who embrace Jewish values and practices and strive with confidence and compassion to better the world.

We are seeking substitute teachers for all grade levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (required)

• Prior teaching experience (preferred)

• Passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey

Requirements:

• Completion of an employment application

• Fingerprinting and background check in accordance with New Jersey state regulations

• Compliance with “Pass the Trash” legislation

• Complete a MAntoux Test

Compensation:

• $150.00 per day
