HS Director of Student Activities

SAR High School is a Modern Orthodox co-educational yeshiva high school dedicated to providing a student centered educational experience providing extraordinary Judaic Studies, General Studies and a wide ranging array of co-curricular opportunities and informal educational programming. 

We are seeking a Director of Student Activities. The Director of Student Activities will work closely with the student activities team which includes five additional staff members. The Student Activities department plays a prominent role in the life of our students and the culture of our school. The Director of Student Activities is someone who identifies with our school’s mission, is highly creative, has strong interpersonal skills, is well organized and comfortable coordinating logistics for a large operation. The ideal candidate has extensive camp experience or experience in student activities. In addition to the job responsibilities listed below, the Director of Student Activities is expected to teach part time in our school, as do all staff members in leadership positions. Salary range is $75-95,000 commensurate with experience. 

Responsibilities of the Director of Student Activities:

• Work closely and collaboratively with the Student Activities team and all stakeholders
• Coordinate all informal educational programming that takes place throughout the school year
• Manage the Student Activities budget and business operations 
• Lead the initiatives for developing extraordinary ruach
• Oversee and participate in up to six shabbatonim each year
• Coordinate grade trips and events
• Supervise and work with Student Government
• Think creatively about implementing new educational programming
