Job Description:

Kinneret Day School is seeking a passionate, creative, and skilled Middle School Hebrew Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love for the Hebrew language and Israeli culture in students, while building strong linguistic skills in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Hebrew language to middle school students (grades 5–8), using developmentally appropriate and engaging instructional methods

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum 

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels of students

  • Integrate Israeli culture, history, and current events to enhance language learning

  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love of learning

  • Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to students and parents

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Judaic and General Studies departments to support cross-curricular initiatives

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in modern Hebrew (native proficiency)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Hebrew Language, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school or day school setting

  • Strong classroom management skills and a warm, student-centered approach

  • Familiarity with standards and proficiency-based language instruction

  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching

  • Passion for Israel and Jewish education
