Middle School ELA Teacher

Chabad Stream School Tamim Academy invites passionate educators to apply for the role of an ELA teacher for 5th-8th grade. This role is vital in nurturing a robust curriculum that encourages students to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving through innovative teaching methods and project-based learning.

This can be a part time or full time position. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct up to 16 teaching periods weekly, delivering both an ELA curiculum, following New York State Standards. 
• Partner with faculty to develop and execute interdisciplinary projects that complement and enhance traditional academic subjects.
• Create and maintain an orderly and secure ELA / Humanities environment that is conducive to the educational growth of a diverse student body throughout the academic day.
• Collaborate with other departments to incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technological tools into the curriculum.

Essential Qualifications:

• A deep commitment to project-based, experiential learning with a focus on hands-on activities.
• Experience in nurturing creativity and inquiry within a classroom setting.

Salary commensurate with experience
Must have teaching certificate.
