Position Summary:    

WIZO is a nonprofit organization seeking a  Bookkeeping/Financial Operations Specialist responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting and finance functions. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, at least five years of relevant experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks and knowledge with Raiser's Edge.

Position Summary:    

WIZO is a nonprofit organization seeking a  Bookkeeping Associate  responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting and finance functions. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, at least five years of relevant experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks and knowledge with Raiser's Edge. 

 

  Key Responsibilities:    

- Manage the organization’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with nonprofit accounting principles.  

- Input financial data and pledges into QuickBooks with exceptional accuracy.  

- Maintain detailed and accurate records of donations and contributions.  

- Generate reports, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.  

- Perform reconciliation and ensure account accuracy.  

- Prepare monthly financial documents. 

- Manage Office Budget

- Oversee receipt acquisition and expense reporting.  

- Upload financial documents to the cloud for secure storage and maintain all financial documentation for record keeping. 

- Provide support for audits and financial reviews.  

- Work with the development team to ensure financial alignment and accurate donor reporting.  

 

  Qualifications:    

-   Experience:   5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.  

-   Technical Skills:   Proficiency in QuickBooks, Authorize.net, and MS Office, particularly Excel.  

-   Accuracy:   Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.  

-   Organizational Skills:   Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.  

-   Communication Skills:   Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.  

-   Accounting Knowledge:   Familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles, billing, invoicing, and general ledger management.  

-   Problem-Solving:   Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies independently.  

 

  Preferred Qualifications:    

- Experience working in a nonprofit environment.  

- Familiarity with donor database management and tracking systems.
