Preschool Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated preschool assistant teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will engage with students through play-based learning activities, ensuring that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Help the lead teacher implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
• Observe children's development, providing feedback to the lead teacher to communicate with parents on their progress.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring that all materials are safe and accessible.
• Stay current with early childhood education best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

Skills

• Experience working with students in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• CPR/First aid certification is required, ensuring the safety of all children in your care. We offer trainings frequently if not already certified.
• Strong caregiving skills with the ability to educate and engage young children effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners are essential traits for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
