We are seeking a passionate and dynamic School Music Director/Teacher to lead our Jewish music program for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will instill a love of Jewish music in students, nurture their musical abilities, and create meaningful opportunities for performance and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons, incorporating music theory, vocal instruction, and instrumental activities.
• Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and musical programs that celebrate student talent and creativity.
• Foster a love of music by encouraging participation and creating an inclusive, inspiring classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate Jewish music into other areas of learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, embodying BMA’s core values.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times, ensuring a positive and safe environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field preferred.
• Experience teaching music to children in a school setting.
• Proficiency in vocal and instrumental instruction.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for creativity, collaboration, and making a difference in the lives of students.
