Associate Development Director

Reports to: Executive Director

Position: Full-time

Location: In person - New York City Office   

About Us

ICRF supports the best and brightest scientists conducting groundbreaking cancer research in Israel with the goal to end the suffering caused by cancer. We are the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in Israel. Our research has been instrumental in the development of breakthrough FDA-approved drugs, such as Gleevec, Doxil and Velcade, as well as in treatments related to nano-medicine, immunotherapy, stem cell research and targeted therapies. Since our inception, we have funded over 2,800 grants totaling just over $92million.  Our research continues across all the leading Israeli institutions. ICRF funded researchers have been awarded 2 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, 5 Israeli Prizes and 2 Lasker Awards.

The Opportunity

The Associate Development Director is part of the National Fundraising Team and reports directly to the Executive Director. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with existing frontline philanthropic fundraising experience to advance their career. The Associate Development Director will be responsible for successfully engaging, cultivating and managing a portfolio of entry level and mid-range donors and prospects, as well as helping to support various Advisory Boards and Committees and their related events.     

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Cold call and re-engage lapsed donors and potential new donors
  • Support various chapter advisory boards throughout the U.S.
  • Ensure accurate gift recording, tracking and acknowledgements
  • Lead Team Member on various fundraising events

Experience and Skills We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant frontline fundraising experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time
  • Advanced working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially excel
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the U.S. and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • CRM knowledge and experience

Compensation and Benefits:

ICRF believes in the importance of taking care of our employees so they in turn can be committed to supporting our vital mission. All our team members have access to a robust benefits package, including:

  • Salary of $70,000 - $95,000 predicated on relevant experience
