Temple Beth Zion Beth Israel, an established egalitarian Conservative synagogue located in the heart of the vibrant Rittenhouse Square neighborhood in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking an Interim Senior Rabbi for a one to two year appointment beginning on June 1, 2025.
We are an experienced, knowledgeable interim Rabbi who can:-Serve as a thought partner to the board, community, and staff regarding vision for the future.-Provide mentorship and advice to our Associate Rabbi.-Offer advice and experience to assist the synagogue in our upcoming permanent clergy search.-Provide ritual support with Shabbat services and weekday/Sunday minyan (leyning, drashot, weekday attendance, general bimah management.-Support and staff evening programs.-Support the Associate Rabbi and Shalliach Tzibbor with High Holiday preparations and sermons.-Support b’nai mitzvah students in writing their divrei Torah.-Provide pastoral care for funerals and shiva.
