Upper School Jewish Life and Experiential EducatorGolda Och Academy Upper School is seeking a dynamic and innovative Jewish experiential educator to enhance our Jewish Life team for the 2024 - 2025 school year. This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated self-starter who is passionate about Jewish life and committed to creating meaningful, impactful experiences for students.Who You Are•Motivated and Reflective: A proactive self-starter who thrives on collaboration, introspection, and a continuous drive to succeed.•Relationship Builder: Skilled at building rapport and forging connections with a diverse group of students.•Engaging Jewish Educator: Passionate about fostering a welcoming, vibrant Jewish environment that enriches students' spiritual lives.•Innovative Experiential Educator: Comfortable with both the theory and hands-on practice of informal and experiential education.•Knowledgeable in Tefillah: Experienced in Tefillah education, able to collaborate in making daily prayers meaningful and rooted in tradition.•Organized and Efficient: Strong in logistics, organization, and follow-through, with a solid work ethic.What You Bring•Educational Background: A BA or MA in Education, Jewish Studies, or Rabbinic ordination.•Youth Engagement Experience: Demonstrated experience with middle and high school students, whether in day schools, youth groups, camps, or other informal settings.•Creative, Enthusiastic Approach: A passion for bringing innovative, impactful Jewish educational experiences to life.•Deep Knowledge of Jewish Tradition: A strong grasp of Jewish traditions and a desire to shape the spiritual lives of students.Job Responsibilities•Program Development: Design and lead Jewish holiday and special event programming throughout the school year.•Community Building: Create meaningful Shabbatonim, trips, and other experiences that foster a strong school community.•Daily Jewish Enrichment: Collaborate with staff to integrate enriching Jewish experiences into everyday school life.•Student Inspiration: Work with students and committees to develop programs that energize and inspire student engagement in Jewish life.•Classroom Instruction Opportunity: Opportunity to teach Bible and/or Rabbinics, adding depth to our curriculum.Upper School Jewish Life and Experiential EducatorBenefits:•Comprehensive Benefits Package: Including 401(k), medical, vision, and dental insurance.Salary:• $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearIf you are passionate about making Jewish life and learning come alive for students, we invite you to apply and be part of our mission to inspire the next generation!
