Yeshiva Har Torah, a vibrant and growing Yeshiva day school in Little Neck, New York, is seeking a dynamic, personable, and highly organized Director of Admissions & Community Engagement to join our leadership team.

This key position involves overseeing the full admissions and recruitment process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. The Director will build meaningful relationships with prospective families, coordinate tours, interviews, and our annual open house event, as well as serve as a warm and welcoming first point of contact for those exploring our school.

In addition, the Director will take the lead in community engagement, planning and executing creative, mission-driven events that strengthen our connections with current families and the broader Jewish community. This role is central to fostering a strong sense of belonging and shared purpose across all members of the Yeshiva Har Torah family.

We are ideally seeking someone with social media expertise, who can share our school’s story and values with authenticity and creativity across platforms, further expanding our reach and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the admissions process, with a primary focus on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and transfer students.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families, guiding them through the application and enrollment process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase student recruitment and retention.
  • Plan and coordinate community events that promote Yeshiva Har Torah’s mission and values.
  • Manage the school’s social media presence and oversee other communications to strengthen engagement with current and prospective families.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in admissions, marketing, or community engagement (preferred)
  • Passion for Jewish education and community building
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
  • Warmth, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit
