Co-Director - FT summer, PT off-season

Camp Bauercrest is a historic Jewish overnight sports camp for boys, is seeking a dedicated Co-Director to join our leadership team. Established in 1931, Camp Bauercrest has been providing unforgettable summers filled with learning, growth and lasting friendships to generations of boys. As Co-Director you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our camp, guiding both campers and staff. This is a dynamic position with part-time responsibilities during the off-season and full-time duties throughout the summer… with the potential for full-time, yearround employment. You will oversee camper recruitment, staff hiring, programming, managing the budget and supporting fundraising efforts. Key Responsibilities Lead camper recruitment efforts and manage retention. Oversee hiring, training, and development of camp staff. Plan, organize, and execute camp programs, ensuring a fun, safe, and enriching environment. Foster a strong, inclusive camp culture that aligns with Bauercrest’s core Jewish values and S.T.A.R. Principles (Sportsmanship, Tradition, Achievement and Responsibility). Collaborate with camp leadership to drive innovation and maintain the camp’s high standards of excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required. Significant experience in overnight summer camp leadership, with a strong focus on managing people, processes, and systems. A passion for creating transformative experiences for boys through camp. Basic knowledge of sports and athletic programming Proven ability to foster collaboration and teamwork, ensuring a supportive environment for both campers and staff. Commitment to Camp Bauercrest’s Jewish values, such as Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Chesed (loving-kindness), which form the foundation of our camp community.
