About the Job
We invite you to join us in our work for clients who support, innovate, and transform the Jewish communal sector both nationally and internationally.
We seek a Project Associate to join our research and consulting teams by gathering both qualitative and quantitative data, contributing to data analysis and development of client-facing deliverables, and providing strong logistical and administrative support to project teams.
Working with our team will give you multifaceted experience in social science research and evaluation in the context of a field-leading research and evaluation company.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, US-based remote position (with core working hours overlapping with East and West Coast time zones) offering superior benefits and fantastic work culture.
Hourly Wage: $31.25.
To ensure the equity of our pay across our team continues, the posted salary for this role is not negotiable. Candidates are encouraged to consider this commitment as part of their application for this role. (See our comprehensive benefits package below.)
What You Will Do
You will play an essential role in supporting our projects by:
- Contributing to the development of data-gathering instruments, such as interview/focus group protocols, surveys, and site visit/observation protocols with an emphasis on qualitative research methods.
- Conducting literature reviews and researching best practices.
- Collecting qualitative and quantitative data via interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other methods, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data, with an emphasis on qualitative research methods.
- Conducting preliminary analyses of both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Helping to translate data into easily digestible, client-facing materials, including reports, memoranda, and presentations.
- Setting meeting agendas, managing internal and external communication, scheduling internal and client-facing meetings, and monitoring project budget, time, and task workflow.
- Communicating regularly and clearly with project team members, operations staff, and clients.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Who You Are
This is a great job for you if you share our team’s core values of Teamwork, Integrity, and Problem Solving and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. You are a researcher—you have work experience or a degree in social science, education research, statistics, evaluation, management, or similar (graduate degree or relevant course work preferred). You have experience analyzing data using the relevant software (e.g., SPSS/R/Python and NVivo). You have knowledge of and/or experience in fields of Jewish education, Jewish communal organizations, or philanthropy.
You are a well-organized self-starter with an eye for detail. You are punctual, responsible, and an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing). You are eager to work with and support a growing team located throughout the US and Israel on domestic and global projects.
You’ll have a lot on your plate, so your ability to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to different work styles across the team will be extremely helpful. You are self-motivated and can work independently in a remote environment while keeping your teammates informed of your progress and pushing work forward. If you are creative and resourceful, you can teach our team new tricks and help us improve research project implementation and administration.
As an international, remote team, our work runs in the “cloud,” so you’ll need to use our extensive communications and project management systems—including Google Workspace, Dropbox Business, Slack, Zoom, and Klient/Salesforce—in addition to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We will provide on-the-job training to get you up and running (and feeling confident).
We would like to get to know you, even if not all of these features apply to you!
