Summary of Guidance Counselor Job Description:
- Provide educational and behavioral counseling to individuals and groups/ classes of students
- Assist students in understanding and seeking solutions to academic, social, and emotional challenges and issues
- Serve as a resource pertaining to student behavior management strategies, student welfare challenges, and concerns
- Cultivate core values such as kindness, respect, compassion, and integrity within students
- Professionally communicate with parents and collaborate with colleagues
Qualifications:
- BA (required) or Masters (preferred) degree in psychology, social work, or other related fields
- Two or more years of counseling experience with children or youth (ideally in a school setting)

Salary: $50-70,000, commensurate with experience, education and training
Hours: Full-Time (8:30am-4:15pm), Part-Time (dependent on position)
