The Director, Tax and Reporting will support the work of the Finance Director and Controller with a specific emphasis on tax and audit related projects.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pulling together data for the preparation of the Form 990’s for HWZOA, HMRA, and Hadassah Foundation and HWZOA, including the preparation of a monthly schedule of contributions by donor name and reconciliations
  • Review and prepare journal entries to upload quarterly reports from Geographic 
  • Areas.
  • Prepare annual report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts
  • Answer requests for financial information for State Charitable Registration forms as well as outside reporting agencies (i.e. – Forbes, Crains, Non-Profit Times, etc.)
  • Keep track of Foreign Expenses for Form 990.
  • Act as liaison between HMO, vendors, and freight forwarder for purchasing equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for quarterly reporting to U.S. Gov’t, Agency for International Development.
  • Perform activities related to year end audits, including:
    1. Prepare variance analysis, current year expenses to prior year.
    2. Handle fringe benefit allocations.
    3. Upload trial balances to system from HMO, HOI and Had Int’l Israel.  
    4. Make various footnotes to Financial Statements (HMO, Net Assets)
    5. Special projects year end audit
  • Update quarterly endowment activity in endowment manager software.Run allocation of investment income and spending rate calculations.
  • Serve as backup support for recording investment activity
  • Serve as backup support for approving and releasing wire transfers and ACH transfers in JPMorgan Access including Security Administration responsibilities
  • Provide monthly reports for reconciliation of outgoing wires/ACH transfers.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

  • BS or BA in Accounting or Finance with minimum of 5+ years of  related job experience
  • Familiarity with Form 990 and other key finance reports.
  • Familiarity with reporting software.  Facility creating and auditing reports.
  • Excellent Excel skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary120,000.00 - 130,000.00 Annual
