Co-Lead or Assistant Early Childhood Teacher

Our synagogue-based early childhood program is looking for co-lead and assistant teachers (8:45 am - 2:45 pm) in our 4-year-old program for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning late August 2025. These positions run from late August 2025 through early June 2026 with the option to work in our 6-week summer camp in 2026 for additional salary and continuation of benefits.

Qualifications:

• Co-lead teachers must have a college degree and experience working with young children in an early childhood setting. Students working toward a degree in early childhood education will be considered.
• Assistant teachers should have a college degree or be working toward a degree in education or other related field. Experience working with young children is required.

Hours: 8:45 am through 2:45 pm, late August through early June

Salary: based on role, qualifications and experience

Curriculum: We follow a play- and research-based emergent curriculum, using open-ended materials to allow children to develop age-appropriate skills through play. Documentation is an area of focus in our work. Experience in a child-led program is required.

Responsibilities: You would be expected to create a warm and supportive classroom environment, develop skills-based weekly experiences, incorporate Jewish values and traditions into the curriculum, assess student progress, and build collaborative relationships with children, families and colleagues.
