The Tucson Jewish Free Loan (TJFL) seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic, collaborative Executive Director to provide leadership and vision implementing the mission of the TJFL: to provides interest-free loans to help Southern Arizonans promote economic self-sufficiency with dignity. Since 1947, The Tucson Jewish Free Loan has been lending a hand, not a handout, to those in need, helping people remain self-sufficient and maintain dignity by providing interest-free financial assistance.
The Executive Director is the chief executive officer responsible for strategic, operational, leadership and management, including development and implementation of the organizations’ strategic directions, oversight of day-to-day programs and operations, Board relations, and cultivating strong relationships with strategic partners. The Executive Director assists the Board in serving its mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead TJFL with a focus on growth, sustainability, and program effectiveness.
- Recruit, motivate, and retain volunteers and Board members.
- Foster strong, productive relationships with the Board and community stakeholders.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of programs and services.
- Support organizational strategy through effective financial and administrative planning.
- Regularly assess program impact and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and implement marketing strategy including social media, enews, and website to engage all stakeholders and potential applicants.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
- Prepare annual budget for Board approval and build annual revenue and reserves to sustain growth.
- Work closely with the Treasurer and Finance Committee to ensure sound financial practices.
- Develop fundraising efforts and event management by seeking sponsorships and overseeing events, including delegating, as appropriate, to ensure leadership and accountability for each event.
- Oversee the bookkeeper to pay all bills promptly. Review financial statements, prepare activity reports to determine progress toward objectives, and revise plans in accordance with current conditions.
- Understand and implement strong non-profit business practices including setting goals and metrics in conjunction with the Board.
Program Development:
- Develop consistent program evaluation and communication plans for continual improvement.
- Ensure programs are well-planned and executed to align with organizational goals.

Compensation
Salary range is $70,000 – $73,000. Benefits include health insurance stipend (if needed), medical and vacation leave. Hybrid telework opportunities available.
