Position overview:

Jewish National Fund-USA seeks a Business Manager who will oversee business matters and administrative projects and tasks to advance their regional Fundraising Team. As both a leader and an integral part of the core team, they make sure everything is fulfilled and executed as necessary. The ideal candidate for this role must think strategically and creatively, be well organized with acute attention to detail, able to juggle many projects at once, anticipate needs and recommend solutions, and great working with people.

 

This position will report to the National Campaign Director of the region and work closely with other members of the CoE team, fundraisers, administrative assistants and event professionals across the country. We're looking to hire this position in Northbrook, IL. 

Responsibilities:

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as right-hand person to National Campaign Director and oversee business matters including budget, cost savings and departmental fiscal responsibility required for the efficient operation and management of the region.
  • Be solution driven using data and Salesforce to enhance these solutions.
  • Lead and advance projects and initiatives as assigned, working closely with the National Campaign Director, fundraisers, and other staff to successfully manage projects from conception to realization.
  • Develop and advance efficient administrative systems and processes within JNF-USA
  • Work closely with support staff on administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the office.
  • Provide timely operations reports as required by deadlines.
  • Proactively anticipate needs and provide recommendations for process improvements, tracking workflows, diagnosing issues, and identifying solutions.
  • Coordinate to ensure alignment with the JNF-USA's mission, vision, core values, and objectives.
  • Track team performance and ensure quality of work.
  • Work closely with the Chief Administration Officer to absorb latest processes, knowledge share with other regions, data, reporting and business updates to then train your region.
  • Administrative tasks including presentation preparation, taking minutes for meetings and other tasks as requested.
  • Interact with volunteer leaders and donors with poise and professionalism.
  • Understand and adhere to the confidentiality of data and assignments.
  • Any further duties assigned by your supervisor, which may not be listed above. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills including Salesforce or other database.
  • Strategic, out-of-the-box thinking a must
  • Be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Pro-active and energetic; ability to work on own with minimal daily supervision.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Be a team player with a "customer service" mentality and ability to work with many people
  • A "no job is too small" attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • 10+ years Business experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation:

$75,000-90,000

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
