OPPORTUNITY 

The Israel Tennis and Education Centers Foundation (ITECF) seeks an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage its Raiser’s Edge database (including RE NXT) and join a team of 12 in the US. 

The new Database Manager will join ITECF at a pivotal moment as the organization leads a comprehensive, cross-departmental initiative to optimize Raiser’s Edge. With guidance from a consulting firm, ITECF is committed to enhancing its Raiser’s Edge capabilities. This role offers a unique, growth-oriented opportunity for a professional to lead the strategic development of Raiser’s Edge, implementing industry best practices to drive excellence in donor advancement. This key organizational role is critical for achieving annual and long-term fundraising goals. 

The Database Manager will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and preserving the integrity of Raiser’s Edge. They will track revenue through constituent data entry and management, gift processing, and acknowledgment accurately and timely, with a sharp focus on stewardship. They analyze data to help inform decision-making and support portfolio management for frontline fundraisers. The Database Manager will be hybrid in the New York Office. They will support and work closely with the fundraising and finance department members in the US, Canada, and Israel. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Database Management: Maintain and update the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of donor records. 
Data Entry: Process donations, pledges, gifts, and donor information precisely, ensuring timely and accurate entry. 
Donor Segmentation: Develop and manage donor segmentation strategies for targeted communication and campaign execution. 
Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on donations, trends, donor retention, and campaign effectiveness to support development and board reporting. 
Data Cleanup: Regularly audit and clean the database to maintain accurate records and remove duplicates or outdated information. 
Gift Acknowledgment: Oversee the timely acknowledgment of all gifts and donations, including generating receipts and thank-you letters. 
Support Fundraising Campaigns: Collaborate with ITECF teams to provide database insights for fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special events. 
System Training: Train staff on best practices for Raiser's Edge use and data entry. 
Donor Stewardship: Assist in developing donor stewardship strategies using database insights and tracking donor engagement. 
Database Integration: Work with other departments to ensure seamless database integration with other software tools ITEC uses. 
Security & Compliance: Ensure data security measures and the organization complies with all data protection laws and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). 
External Relations: Liaise with Blackbaud (or other relevant vendors) and external consultants for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and best practices. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

  • Prior experience with donor databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge 
    Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
    Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team 
    Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team, showing both strong initiatives to reach individual goals as well as support the overall team goals
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, board members, volunteers, and third-party representatives 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
    Excellent organizational and time management skills 
    Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-focused nonprofit environment 
    Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously
