Katz Yeshiva High School, a private Jewish high school in Boca Raton, Florida, offers a rigorous dual curriculum in Judaic and General Studies to approximately 500 students. We are currently recruiting for the following position for the 2025–2026 school year:

 

Full-Time STEM & Design Teacher

KYHS is currently seeking a STEM & Design Educator to teach engineering and design classes. We seek a strong, creative leader adept in technology as well as academic pedagogy.


The STEM & Design Teacher provides a learning opportunity for our high school students in the areas of design thinking, principles of engineering, prototyping, and development of projects. Inquiry and problem-solving are at the heart of the subject. We view the design cycle as a tool that leads to success not only in the engineering process, but in all subjects. The teacher will lead courses in computer science, design thinking, principles of design & engineering, robotics and fabrication technologies including but not limited to 3D printers, laser cutters, woodshop, electronics.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Teach engaging and hands-on classes for up to 18 forty-five minute periods a week. 
  • Robotics Team Coach - after school 2x a week.
  • Create and implement lesson plans and a wide range of formative and summative assessments consistent with course content and objectives.
  • Provide thoughtful, substantive, individualized feedback on student work.
  • Update Google Classroom and online gradebook regularly.
  • Monitor the Makerspace during predetermined scheduled times to meet with students and assist in maintaining the organization of the space.
  • Attend scheduled department, faculty, and professional development meetings. 
  • Complete up to three weekly staff duties, such as monitoring halls or proctoring makeup tests.
