Description

Yedidya Academy at the Israel Center for Conservative Judaism is actively seeking dynamic teachers as part of the ongoing development and expansion of our in-person religious Sunday school program.

Candidates should have a strong background in Hebrew, Torah, and Jewish culture. Candidates should be familiar and comfortable with Conservative Judaism and egalitarian religious practices. 

 

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in teaching children between the ages of 4 and 13. Teachers will be asked to work collaboratively with creative teams, students, and families as they deliver both experiential and didactic curriculum and foster a warm and inclusive learning environment. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Write and deliver engaging weekly lessons aligned with the annually developed curriculum, based on the pacing calendar provided;
  • Regularly monitor student achievement and communicate progress to families and staff;
  • Provide periodic report cards to families;
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences, as needed; and 
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding curriculum implementation. 



Hours: 

Sundays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

Compensation: 

$50-65/hr, commensurate with experience
