Description

Camp Massad is a vibrant and welcoming Hebrew-speaking overnight camp located one hour from Montreal, on the banks of Lac Quenouille in the beautiful Laurentian Mountains. Our mission is to provide campers every year with a fun, safe, and meaningful summer experience. Massad is known for its ruach (spirit) and close-knit family-like atmosphere, where campers form lifelong friendships across age groups. As a pluralistic modern Orthodox and Zionist camp with a proud 78-year history, Massad aims to foster in each camper a strong sense of Jewish identity and community belonging, love of the Hebrew language, and connection to Israel.

The Camp Director will provide strategic leadership, manage operations, and oversee programs and initiatives in line with the camp's mission and values. Central to the success of this position is an enthusiasm for camping and Jewish practice, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and lead their team. The Camp Director must build mutually respectful relationships with campers, parents, staff, and the Board of Directors.

In turn, the Director will enjoy access to a network of exceptional community leaders, mentors, alumni, and a Board committed to their success, along with professional development opportunities to keep up with best practices in summer camping and experiential Jewish education. This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a lasting impact on the next generation of Jewish leaders.
