Religious School Teachers

Temple Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock is seeking religious schools teachers for Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

TBILA is a diverse community of families and friends, making modern traditions out of one of LA's oldest continuously operating synagogues right in the heart of Highland Park.

Temple Beth Israel's Torah School is an inclusive educational program that develops our students' Jewish literacy and skills to provide them with the foundation to find their personal connection to Jewish tradition and to each other.  Our curriculum is designed to ensure that our students become capable Hebrew readers, develop a strong sense of Torah literacy, and become experienced participants in ritual and communal life.

Currently seeking a K-1st grade teacher for Sunday mornings, and 2nd-7th grade teachers for both Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

Candidates must have a strong knowledge of Jewish history, culture, holidays, and traditions.

Ability to teach Hebrew decoding is required.

Pay ranges according to experience.
