ISGAP-INSS JOINT FELLOWSHIP
Applications Now Open
We are happy to announce a joint post-doctoral fellowship training program on critical contemporary antisemitism studies, discrimination, and human rights. Led by a group of leading international scholars and policymakers associated with ISGAP (Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy) and the INSS (The Institute for National Security Studies), this program will host research fellows for eighteen months at the INSS, starting in January 2025.
Research fellows are expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area during the academic terms.*
The Joint ISGAP-INSS Fellowship in Critical Contemporary Antisemitism Studies aims to promote an innovative approach to the interdisciplinary study of contemporary antisemitism. Led jointly by both parties, the fellowship will leverage ISGAP’s in depth understanding of contemporary antisemitism and INSS’s professional experience with national security issues, focusing on two main areas of interest:
- Qatar’s global influence and it’s engagement with the Muslim Brotherhood.
- Israel-United States Relations in the Context of Contemporary Antisemitism.
Applicants must hold a PhD in the humanities or social sciences and have a proven track-record of conducting and publishing academic research related to the topics mentioned above.
Fellows will participate in weekly seminars and conduct strategic research projects under the guidance of Dr. Charles Asher Small, INSS experts, and others. They will actively contribute to the research collective dedicated to developing a conceptual framework for critical contemporary antisemitism studies.
Fellows will assist ISGAP and INSS in development and coordination of programming initiatives, including academic seminar series and international conferences, where they will present their work to colleagues.
Fellows are also be expected to participate in the 2025 ISGAP-Oxford Summer Institute for Curriculum Development in Critical Contemporary Antisemitism Studies.
