Religious School Teacher

Job Location: Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, NY 

Compensation: $55 - $75 per hour based on experience

Job Type: Part-Time Religious School Teacher 

Position Summary: 

Temple Sinai Religious School, a dynamic, innovative, and friendly community is looking for creative, energetic Teachers for grades K - 6.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Hebrew is required 
• Weekday afternoon availability is required 
• Experience with educational technology and experiential education a plus
• Ability to lead and instruct students of different abilities
• Enthusiastic and fun
• Professionalism and a collaborative spirit
• Willingness to be mentored, to grow, and to learn 

Job Responsibilities:

• Create detailed lesson plans to provided a cohesive and consistent learning experience for the students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of the students 
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, during specials and in the parking lot

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a synagogue, in a professional, team focused environment
