Assistant Teacher

My Little School, a Jewish Preschool located in Tribeca, is seeking to hire a full time assistant teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. We are a community school that feels like family. Our school is inviting, thoughtful and dynamic, and a formative presence in NYC early childhood education. We value the social emotional needs of children and their innate curiosities, and work with our teachers to design curriculum that is intentional, hands-on and stimulating. We place a strong emphasis on creating a positive school culture where Jewish values and traditions are a central focus and learning is brought to life with joy through our passionate educators. 

Ideal candidates should have experience with children ages 2-5 years old.  Candidates should be open to learning and growing, as well as working collaboratively on a team. We are looking for individuals who truly love children, possess a positive attitude, have a reliable work ethic and proactive nature. 

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Working collaboratively with your teaching team to create a safe, warm, engaging and positive learning environment for children
• Supporting daily classroom routines and preparations
• Supporting and engaging with children throughout the day
